Nine eleven, also known as September 11, was one of the
blackest days in the history of the US. It refers to the day in 2001 when Arab
suicide bombers hijacked United States airliners and used them as
bombs. The attack was carried out by the Islamic terrorist group Al Quaida. It
killed about 3000 people destroyed the World Trade Center. Other forms of the
expression are: 9-11, 9/11 and Sept. 11.
